#55 Amy Wiersma
6'5 Center
Randolph, Wi
1995-99

Amy Wiersma was one of the most heavily recruited players to come out of Wisconsin high school girls basketball.  Ultimately, she did not come close to fulfilling that promise in college.  Amy was cursed with bad hands and no shooting touch.  She also never acquired the confidence she needed to play at this level.  When things went wrong, she hung her head instead of getting mad.  She may simply have been too nice to make a mark as a major college player.
