Peggy Shreve was a walk-on who became the Badger's starting point guard when Amy Bauer left the squad.  She was a player of limited physical abilities but one who understood the game.  She was slow, unathletic and not a particularly good shooter.  But she stepped in when the team needed her and was the starting point guard on the program's first NCAA team.
