Stephanie Rich
5'11 Guard/Forward
Crawfordsville, Ia
2001-05
Stephanie Rich spent her freshmen season playing a role and learning about college basketball. She also showed that she has the basketball skills to be a top player. AS a sophomore, Rich made strides, but she still did not shoot well. Steph is a scrappy and smart player but also a streaky one.
Rich enters her junior season as the team's best player and its main scoring threat. She has a jump shot that is picture perfect and that makes it hard to understand why she is a career 33% shooter. Steph has a solid all-around game and is a good rebounder for her size. Her ballhandling has consistently improved but still needs work. The team will be built around her in her junior and senior seasons.
Honors:
2003: Honorable Mention All Big 10
High School: 2001 Miss Iowa Basketball. Ranked number 63 by the Blue Star Report. Named honorable mention All America by Street and Smith and first team All State for 4 years. Averaged 20.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 5.4 steals a game as a senior.
