Jenny Rhodes was proof that hard work and a good attitude don't always pay off in on-court improvement. She worked and did everything asked of her, but she never really figured out what was supposed to be happening on the court. Throughout her career, she played hard but seemed to almost panic when she had the ball in her hands. Too often the result was a throw in the general direction of where she thought the basket must be.
