#4
Erin Olson
5-9 Guard
Waukesha, Wi
2002-06
Erin Olson is a three point specialist who was invited to walk-on to the Badgers. She will be given a chance to earn minutes as shooting guard. She turned down several scholarship offers to small D1 schools to attend Wisconsin.
In 2003, Olson will likely get a chance to play when the game counts. With the career-ending injury to Shawna Nicols, she is the fourth guard in the rotation. Olson is limited and will have to play within her limitations. She can shoot the threes and she is a decent passer. Her ballhandling is shaky and she is not quick enough to be a good defender. When she's on the floor, the best she can be expected to do is not hurt the team. She's a smart player and should be able to do that.
High School: Averaged 13.2 points and 4.3 rebounds a game as a senior.
