Lello Gebisa is the wildcard on the 2002 Badger squad.  She is an athletic post player with good hands and will be the tallest woman ever to play for the Badgers.  Lello is the older sister of Ebba and spent two years as a bit player at Duke before coming to Wisconsin.  She can be dominating defensively but is raw offensively and has the reputation of not liking physical play.

Lello could end up being essentially a practice player or she could step up and be huge off the bench.  If she can give the team a strong 15 minutes  a game, the Badgers will be better than anyone expects.

Rarely have I written anything more inaccurate than the last sentence.  Lello proved to be a solid Big 10 performer.  She earned a starting job and played almost 30 minutes a game.  She ended up the year as the team's second best player.  And the team was worse than anyone expected.

Lello was a major contributor but not one without weaknesses.  She has nice post moves but gets pushed around far too easily.  She has good defensive instincts and is a shot-blocker.  But she struggles on offense to catch the ball.  That limits her significantly.  She mishandled passes at crucial times in several games and that hurt the team.  But she also contributed significantly in several games.

If she could just somehow learn to catch the ball.....
