#22 Ann Klapperich
6'1 Forward
Fond du Lac, Wi
1994-98

Of all the women who have played for Wisconsin, Ann Klapperich may be the most difficult to describe.  She was a player who was not as good as the excellent numbers she put up would indicate.  She was slow and weak defensively.  She worked hard, but only on the things she wanted to work on.  Offensively, she was an undersized post player who got the most out of her talent and was as good as she could be.  She was an emotional player and her emotion frequently got in the way.  Ann was a fierce competitor, but she lacked the maturity to properly direct her competitiveness.  Too often, she directed her frustration at her teammates and coaches.  With Ann it was a question of whether the points she scored offset the drama and trauma she caused.  I suspect not.
