6'3 Forward
W Lafayette, Ind
2001-2005

With the departure of Jessie Stomski Kyle Black and Tamara Moore, the Badgers entered the 2002 season with huge holes to fill.  Ebba Gebisa will needed to step up and fill one of them.  She had the raw talent to do that, but she did not make the huge jump that was needed.

Ebba is a very athletic player who doesn't have polished skills.  But she is an extremely hard worker whose learning curve is steep.  She made great strides in her freshman year and should continue to improve.  She is also the type of competitor who should develop into a true leader.

She played small forward in the 2003 and didn't really distinguish herself.  Her learning curve is steep and she wasn't able to utilize her athleticism as much as she could have.  Being on the perimeter exposed her weak ballhandling skills and her overall lack of polish.  She developed happy feet and was called for way too many traveling violations.  She was not as aggressive as she should have been.  But she played good defense and did improve as the season went on.  Her jump shot is improved and her overall shooting was good.

In 2004 she will return to her more natural position--power forward.  Ebba is razor thin and doesn't have the body to play inside, but her game is best suited to playing close to the basket.  Ebba's a hard worker and the type of person that is an asset to the squad.  But 2004 is her last chance to have the type of impact on the court that was expected when she came here.
