Mary Chrnelich began her career at Kansas and transferred to Wisconsin after her sophomore year. She was instrumental in getting Megan Scott to follow her from Kansas to Madison.
Chrnelich was one of the
five players who refused to leave the court when coach Edwina Qualls tried to
pull her team off the floor in a game at Minnesota
