One of the first of the great Badger women.  Bonnell was the key Badger when the team began playing Big10 basketball.  Bonnell was a solidly built post player who was known as a hard-nosed competitor who made the most of her abilities.

Bonnell was an excellent shooter for her day.  The three point shot was introduced in her senior year and she took advantage of it and showed good touch from long range.

Honors:
1986:  Wisconsin MVP
1987:  Honorable Mention All Big 10, Wisconsin MVP
1988:  Second Team All Big 10, Wisconsin MVP

Currently:  Now Lisa Handlin and the head girl's basketball coach at Merrill High School
