#32 Kyle Black
5'11 Guard
Indianapolis, Ind
1998-02

Kyle Black was the "other" senior starter for Wisconsin in 2001-02.  She was the often overlooked member of the trio that also included all-time Wisconsin greats Tamara Moore and Jessie Stomski.  But that should not minimize her contributions, because they were major.

Black was the steadying influence on her more emotional teammates and the real leader of the team.  She entered Wisconsin as a player who was overmatched athletically and left as one of the most improved players in Wisconsin history.

Her forte was long-range shooting and she was one of the league's leaders in three point shooting in her junior and senior seasons.  She became an outstanding one-on-one defender and was frequently called on to stop the opponents best scorer.

Kyle was never a candidate for All Big 10.  But she gave the program all she had and left as the best player she could be.  That's all anyone can ask of any player.

Honors:
2001:  Academic All Big 10
2002:  Academic All Big 10

Currently:  Now Kyle Rechlicz and an assistant coach for former Wisconsin assistant and current Cleveland State head coach Kate Peterson.
